Our story
Three decades of dye, coffee, and community — every piece we make carries a little of this road with it.
Every piece in the shop is dyed by the same two hands — a married couple who started with a bucket of dye in 1992, and never quite stopped.
1992Where it started
Peacework Designs began the year we got married — 1992. Two newlyweds, a bucket of dye, and a hobby that grew into a way of life. We've been dying for you ever since.
The 90sUp and down the East Coast
For years we vended craft fairs, flea markets, and festivals up and down the East Coast — one table, one shirt, one conversation at a time. Regulars started asking when we'd be next.
Late 90s – 2001The Ozone, Sydney, NY
We opened The Ozone, a coffeehouse in Sydney, New York — a community space with open mics, local art on the walls, and a slogan above the door: 'Unique gifts and a touch of the bizarre.' A friendly little lizard was the mascot.

These days we're a rolling shop across the South Carolina region — craft shows, concerts, and festivals — with a studio for tie-dye parties, custom orders, and screen printing. Same hands, same joy. And that little lizard? He grew up into the Bigfoot you'll see around the site.
Why we do it

Joy, beauty, and unity in a fractured world. Our messages can be humorous, even a little provocative — but never mean, never disunifying. We believe that everything is better when it's tie-dye.
